A longtime collaborator of Jonas Mekas, Northover is curating an exhibition dedicated to the veteran experimental filmmaker opening Sept. 21 at the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Northover noted the location is especially poignant for the Lithuanian-born Mekas. "He left his home country for New York years ago in the Forties because of the Soviet repression, so the fact that we actually have a show happening inside Russia, inside Saint Petersburg, is quite spectacular," he said.
