Koepka qualifies for British in exhausting fashion

Count this as a good 24 hours, although Brooks Koepka may not remember all of it.
On Sunday, the first-year professional from Florida won the Scottish Hydro Challenge – his fourth European Challenge Tour victory since turning pro late last year and his third this season, earning him a battlefield promotion to the European Tour – by three strokes.
From there, the former Florida State standout took a cab, which was slowed by a flat tire, to a hotel near Edinburgh airport. After two hours of sleep, he caught a flight Monday morning to London where he was driven directly to Sunningdale Golf Club for the 36-hole Open Championship qualifier, which he also won with rounds of 69-65.
According to Koepka’s manager with Hambric Sports, the American was headed to South Florida on Tuesday for two weeks off and will play the Scottish Open before heading to Muirfield next month.
“What he did yesterday was unbelievable,” said Blake Smith with Hambric Sports.
