TISCI TIME: Whether just passing through or especially in town for the occasion, a roster of bright young things took in the Givenchy show Friday evening. “We didn’t even know it wasfashion week,” said The XX’s Romy Madley Croft. “We’re playing a concert in Evreux, about an hour out of Paris, in four hours’ time, and when we found out [about the show] we thought it would be nice to come.”
U.K.-based magician Dynamo, who was sharing a card trick with dancer and model Brahim Zaibat, said he was in town especially for fashion, something he would like to get more involved in. “I’d like to see people levitating down the catwalk, instead of walking,” quipped Dynamo, adding that he counted creating his own men’s line and working with Chanel among his ambitions.
Sporting a brightly printed Givenchy men’s shirt, Sky Ferreira said she was heading home to the U.S. next week to celebrate her 21st birthday. “It’s a big thing over there turning 21. I know it’s not here,” said the model, actress and singer, who has been recording new material in Paris and Berlin.
Spanish actor Quim Gutierrez, who stars in Givenchy’s fall 2013 ad campaign, said he has just finished working on Cécile Telerman’s movie “Les Yeux Jaunes des Crocodiles” alongside Emmanuelle Béart and Julie Depardieu, due for release next April.
Other front-row faces included American rapper Dominic Lord, performance and makeup artist Boychild, design duo M/M and Ben Gorham, founder of the Byredo fragrance brand.
